On Sunday, June 18 , 2000 , at 5:00 in the afternoon The Contemporary Lovers of Mevlana will offer the first Sufi Music Concert and Sema ceremony in the Galata Mevlevi Temple since last December. The building was closed for use because of concern there might be damage from the earthquakes that occured last year. After careful inspection the building was found to need some minor repairs and while handling these , our Preservers of tha Galata Mevlevi Temple Association also provided funds for a long-needed painting and refurbishing of the main building and some of the grounds. After this we will resume our regular schedule of Sufi Music Concert and Sema Ceremony on the second and last Sunday of each month.
